Marriage Course launched in Spanish across Latin America

Costa Rica recently hosted the launch of The Marriage Course in Spanish across Latin America. Over 170 people gathered from across the continent representing 12 nations including Mexico, Argentina, El Salvador, Colombia, and Chile. The Caribbean was represented too, by those from the Cayman Islands and Dominican Republic.

A team from Alpha International travelled from the UK and joined forces with the local Alpha office in Costa Rica to organise the conference. It was co-hosted by Nicky & Sila Lee (authors of The Marriage Course) and Mainor and Ingrid Arcia, National Marriage Coordinators for Costa Rica.

The day began with Nicky & Sila Lee sharing their vision for supporting marriages and the key principles of The Marriage Course, including the crucial role the local church has to play. Delegates then did a session from the course which was run by Mainor and Ingrid Arcia. Experiencing the course first hand, guests were able to discover how best to communicate love to their spouse. In the afternoon there was an interactive Q&A session where Nicky & Sila explained how to run the course.  Many were encouraged and inspired by powerful testimonies shared throughout the day by those who marriages were transformed having done the course.

Throughout the day whilst enjoying the delights of the local Costa Rican cuisine with cakes and pastries galore, guests had the opportunity to connect with others who share the same vision of supporting family life in their communities.
